RX989, I like the look, the wheel rims and the body colour. Are you planning to do anything with the spoiler?

I like the rims and the monotone paint job really distinguishes the RX from the crowd. As for the body kit, it looks good from the side and the back but I do not like the look from the front at all. The 2001 lights definitely look nicer. As for the spoiler, I personally prefer the newer spoiler style as found on 2002's and 2003's then the one found in the older models. All in all, though, I give it a

hey, i think your rx is very nice. Did your orginal paint job come in the two tone color? I have a 99 Rx and it is pearl white and like a goldish color along the bottom. I wanted to get it painted all one color but when i went to a body shop they said that is you painted the goldish color with another color that you would get alot of chips and the goldish color would show through. So he said that they would not paint it. Did you take off your factory mud flaps when you had the body kit installed? I really could not tell from the picture. Hey thanks for your input and help.

yea, where are the mud guards? Do you get stuff flying up and marring your bottom finish?

I actually like the look of the older factory spoiler so I decided to save $200 and keep it the same. And in my point of view it kind of makes the RX more unique becasue there aren't many RX's with the old style spoiler. As for the mud guards, they had to go with the kit, although I have yet to notice any more than normal accumulation of dirt behind the tires or in the wheel well. One reason I think is beause the kit itself blocks some of the dirt ( it does extend 2-3 inches) and have yet to see any damage done.
Thanks for all of the positive comments!!!!

When they painted the bottom portion of the car they completely stripped the original paint first. And since they are all plastic panels and bumpers, they easily came off and was able to get complete coverage (another plus is you get rid of all the chips from careless people who hit your RX). If you do decide to paint...make sure to take it top a shop willing to do this, it will cost a bit more but its definatly worth it.

Well here it is, my RX300. I have changed a couple things to help distinguish it from what seems like millions of other RX's on the road. To start I changed out the stock head and tail lamps to OEM 2001 editions. Next I imported a Factory Lexus body kit from Japan, the Aero Tourer) and painted the whole lower portion of the RX to match the top.
Was the "upgrade" to OE 2001 tail-lamp and headlamps a drop-in replacement, or did it involve a lot of work? Did you go with HID headlamps? Can you provide part #s and approx costs ??

I like the "painting the lower portion to match the top". IMO the two-tone Lexus bit is a pretty dated style cue.

Do you need spacers for the 18 inch RX330 rims? 235/55/18's? Thanks. I'm thinking of getting some chrome ones...
