Sunroof seal leaking
I just changed my sunroof after a hail storm. Once I installed it I grabbed a jug of water and poured it all the way around the seal. It was leaking a bit around the corners. Once it leaked through it ran out the drain and out under the vehicle on both sides. At first I thought the seals were bad on the sunroof so I used some rubber dressing and sunshine to recondition them. Upon further examination I decided these seals may not be intended to be watertight and that is why the sunroof drains exist. When you look at the seal from the top of the vehicle it is hard to imagine that it would be completely water tight. Does anyone have any insight on this? Are the seals supposed to be watertight or does Lexus realize some water will get in and that is what the drain is for? Thanks

Yes water always gets past the seals and is meant to travel down the drains. You should be fine. If you are getting a rushing wind noise at high speeds then you will want to work on tightening up the seal. If not, then it's good.
