transferring shocks to another car?

i currently have a 1st gen rx and a 2nd gen rx. the shocks on the 2nd gen rx were replaced not too long ago, but they are terrible. could i take my 1st gen rx shocks and put it into my 2nd gen? thanks.

Find the brand of shock and look it up to see if they list the same one for both cars.

I’m looking to transfer the springs. It looks like they are similar but I’m not entirely sure. The mounts for the struts are different though.
