I used to. I ran 235/70/16 Michelin CrossTerrains for about 15 years and only recently went back 225/70/16 Falkens about a year ago.
You will notice the different when you drive as it feels a bit more like a tank. They fit just fine and will never rub.

I am running the Bridgestone tires from Costco with a 800 tread rating, I waited for Costco to have their sale on Bridgestone tires. about every 4 months they put on Bridgestone or Michelin tires.
These sales will save a ton of money I always go for the highest tread wear 800 for longevity and mileage wear.
Both Michelin and Bridgestone have tires with 800 tread wear at Costco.
I am using 235/70/16 tires with no problems they give your Lexus RX 300 a great smooth ride.

Hello
The RX300 stock tire size is 225/70R16.
I know that people run 235/70R16 without any problems.
I understand that the 235 is about a 1/2" taller and 1/2" wider. So about 1/4" inch bigger inner/ outer and top/bottom.
Would there be an issue running 235s in the front and 225 in the rear?
I know that there will be a rotational difference but want to know if it is enough to cause an issue with the AWD?

Yes. You need to run the same size tire for AWD. My sister-in-law had a BMW 535xi and the dealer wanted to replace all four tire because one blew out and couldn't be repaired.
