Default 2001 TSB Question

I just purchased a 2001 RX 300 and have a question regarding two of the TSB's listed (I did a search and found nothing). The center cupholder on my RX doesn't work to well. Does the TSB below mean that the dealer will replace this for free if I take it there?

#BO011-01 SEP 01 Center Cup Holder - Broken/Damaged

If so how did they fix the design so it doesn't happen again?

My second question is regarding the TSB #PG011-01 MAR 01 Paint - Body Protection Film (PDS). What does this entail? I was going to get the XPEL kit put on my car but is this TSB similar to that?

Thanks,

Pat

In response to your first question, yes, as long as your car is still under the original Lexus warranty you will be able to get this fixed.

On your second question, I'm not sure what this TSB is all about so hopefully someone else can chime in on that one.

Welcome to the club.

Question #2. Info from Alldata:
The effective period of the body protective film has been extended from 3 months to 6 months after the
film is applied in production. With the lapse of time after the film is applied, the paint surface could be
gradually affected by ambient temperature and other environmental conditions. The body protective film
must be removed within 6 months.
