I’m going through similar problems although the insurance company of the person who rear-ended me is trying to not reimburse me for my medical bills bc there wasn’t “extensive damage to my car” 😒
Does anyone know the exact material on the ‘99 rx300 rear bumpers? I’ve heard that these older bumpers are tougher than a lot of the newer (read cheaper) ones.

I've not heard that. Newer aftermarket bumper covers may be less durable than OEM bumpers but I don't see what that would have to do with a medical claim. If you have a genuine medical injury, then now is the time to call a lawyer.

The material is poly same as new cars but ask if they know many Doctors that refer patients to smash repairs or an insurance company that actually can make an argument based on facts rather than assumptions.
