Radio failed 2001 RX 300
Has anyone had their radio failed and what did you find might be the problem. Mine still shows the radio stations but there is no volume. I checked the 25 amp fuse in the engine area 7.5 amp fuse under the dash board.
When I try to change the base or treble nothing happens, also my CD changer is working again no volume. Is there anything thing I can do except go to a junk yard and try find a used one.

Does anyone in So Cal have a used radio would like to buy it from a private party instead of a junk yard.

The audio is split into different units and AC controls are built into the head unit. I would highly recommend some testing before you try to replace items.
From your description it seems your head unit may be oK and the problem is in the Amp. You will need to trace presence of audio (low level) signal at the output of the head unit, or feed the low level audio to the Amp.
Lexus lineup offers 2 or 3 types [Nakamichi, ML] of audio equipment for their models and they are not interchangeable. Later model RX also got a more powerful audio [I think those are interchangeable].
Summary: Please investigate more before making a purchase.

PS: For sale or want to buy, please check out the Market Place thread. The policy is not to post such a request in the model forum.
