Default 1999 rx300 won’t start, security light going nuts, key won’t unlock/lock doors

I went to the store around 11:30 last night, car started and ran just fine there and back. Today around 2:30p I go to leave and key won’t unlock doors, security light is flashing fast and making a weird like tick sound, no lights on dash come on, and won’t turn over or start at all. I tried to jump the battery with my moms 2002 rx300, did nothing, then I tried disconnecting negative terminal for 10 min, also did nothing, but I did notice after that that when my key was turned to on the security light would go off, but I had to stop and go in and tend to my 1 year old, but now I came back out, key still won’t lock/unlock doors even tho key lights up like it’s working, but now the security light isn’t flashing really fast anymore, flashing like on for 1 sec, off for 1 sec, repeat, so I’m trying the leave the key in ON position for 10 min thing, but pretty sure it’s been over 10 min and it’s still flashing. The dash lights weakly came on when I first came out here and was trying to crank it but now nothing.
mom wondering if I should try to put my moms battery in my car to see if it’s a battery issue, but I’m worried it’ll mess up her security crap too if I unhook and reconnect her battery.
I just bought this car like 3-4 weeks ago...with literally all I had, I don’t have hundreds of dollars to sink into it. Please help

Make sure the 12v battery is nice and strong. You can remove and take the battery to an auto=parts store and let them test it for you. Usually they are nice enough to put it on charge for few hours. Take it there early in the morning and let them charge it till late afternoon [they generally do not connect charger overnight].

Once you have a good battery, try starting and if possible drive to the auto_shop so that they can check your charging system too.

If you are part of auto-club, they can come out and provide you a jump and test out the charging system where ever your vehicle is. They even have decent batteries that they would like to sell to you.

Note: Be very careful with the polarity of the battery. Lexus color coding of terminals can not be trusted. You should follow +/- markings.
