Crank Oil Seal Replacement Too Loose
Currently replacing the crank oil seal. Getting the old seal (replaced ~8 years ago) out was really tough, but when putting the new one in, I barely had to push it. Usually you need to hammer that in!
Should I just leave it and see if it causes problems or should I order from another manufacturer?

Having replace many of those seals, I bought the installer/remover for the cam shaft oil seals. The front crank oil seal goes in noticeably easier than the cam seals, I never needed much more than the force of my fingers to install it, I always gave it a few gentle taps with a rounded dowel but it seats pretty easily and that’s all it should be is seated in its well. I only installed Toyota OEM seals on my 2000 Avalon, I advise the same to anyone undertaking the task to do the same, many aftermarket seals will leak in a few short years time, if you do the timing belt, water pump and oil seals, you don’t want to take it apart again for at least 90000 miles.
