Default Climate control issues?

I've been reading lots about the blend door servo and the air mix servos here. Thanks for all the contributions. My issue: my 2001 RX300 would only blow air from the feet or the defrost - not the dash. Also, the climate temperature would only be 100% hot or 100% cold - no in between. I replaced both the servos. My blend door problem was fixed, but I still only get hot or cold air.

The air mix servo seems to be working properly. It will be in the 'up' position when the temp selector is on HOT setting all the way until one click from 'COLD'. As soon as the selector hits 'COLD: the servo moves to the down position. When I move the temp selector one degree warmer, the servo goes all the way to hot again. It will never stop anywhere in the middle.

I'm leaning toward a faulty temperature control. I think I'm going to try one from the junk yard. Anyone had a similar issue?

Thanks

Mix servo, by its name stands for mixing the air hot or cold to deliver to occupants. [thermostat]

Mode servo, by its name stands for directing directing the air to the occupants.

Auto mode commands the Mode and mix to provide the best way and if something is not responding (broken servo) then you need to take it out of Auto and test each part manually [temp -> mix] and [air-direction -> mode].

There are additional flaps which play a part in max and min temp settings as well as recirc.

Thanks Salim.

All seems to be working now. After I replaced both servos, I didn't let the car warm up to operating temp before testing the mix servo. After I left it properly warm up, it seems to working as it should. I'll keep an eye on it..
