RIP Silversport
After 16 years of ownership my 2001 RX300 Silversport was totaled when someone rear ended it. It made it to 222 K miles. The only major non regular wear item repairs needed were the knock sensors replaced at 182 K miles, transmission replaced at 196K miles, all of the engine mounts and the sway bar bushings and links replaced at 198K, and the alternator at 204 K. The only other issue I had with it is that I had to replace the antenna mast every 1.5 to 2 years after a certain point and the door lock actuators every few years. Overall it was a very dependable, excellent car.

Bummer. I like the all one color of the Silver Sport model and the black interior. What will you get next?

Sorry, it’s already been towed away. The only thing I still have is a new oem Silversport front passenger mat that was given as an extra when I first bought the car and has been in storage this whole time.

I love the silversport, if you ever dig up the mat and remember me I'll buy it from you. I'm sorry to hear about your loss of such a beautiful machine
