OEM Lexus Cargo Rack assembly Pieces
I bought my Lexus in January and it came with the OEM cargo racks Lexus sells. 1 of the 2 racks is perfectly fine but the rear one is rusting/bent and extremely hard to move. If I removed the screw and attachment Peice it screws into will I be to buy just a replacement for the attachment the screws fasten into? I see that Lexus currently sells pt27848992hw roof rack hardware kit. Would this be a viable replacement for the current hardware?

Rusting out OEM Cargo Rack
Bought my RX in January and the rear rack attachment peices are rusting out/bent and will no longer attach when I remove the rack by unscrewing the attachment peices. That said if I buy the roof rack hardware kit: PT27848992HW
That Lexus sells will it be a viable replacement for the current OEM peices in the vehicle? Would like to confirm it’s the correct peices before purchasing a replacement because Lexus dosnt have any photos to confirm it’s the correct part. Thank you

This kit is only $12 why not just order it. Says fits your RX.

There are rails and slats. The rails are afixed to the body and slats can be moved back and forth.
Your best bet would be salvage yard for the slats. You can check with Lexus to see if they have new ones.
You can jury rig, but be careful about length and material of the bolts.

Also dig in the really old posts about wind noise due to these slats. Lexus finally had a recommended position.
