This message are for Lexus owners in or around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I ordered a blank key(with transponder and remote - $80) and was calling around to get prices to get them cut. Didn't know alot of the locksmith's ccouldn't cut these types of keys and some even said they were patented by Lexus (which requires going to the Dealer). One dealer wanted $200 plus just to cut the key.

Anyways, I did found one Dealership (Sewell Lexus off Lemmon Ave.) that they will do it for FREE, as long as I can bring proof of ownership of vehicle. So if you're in or near the Dallas area, you can save some money.

 

Think I've seen a lot of good stuff on this board about Sewell Lexus, wish I lived there I'd give them my business.

Might be worth the drive down sometime, I need another flat key.
