Hi, Has anyone had any Luck clearing the ERROR 4 fault associated with the Lexus Pioneer 6 Disc Changer?
I have a 2005 RX330 Canadian Built Model.
I've had the code come up before, but with the tips I've gotten on this Forum, I've always been able to clear the Dreaded Code.
Not this time, In the past it's only come on when the changer had less than 6 CD's in it and it was cold outside. I've Always been able to clear the code in the past.
Well, this time I had all 6 CD's in the player, and I didn't wait for the CD player to warm up, and when I tried to change the CD that was playing to a different CD, I got the Error 4 message.
I've done Everything I could think of, including removing the stereo and removing some of the CD's from it.
it didn't do Any Good, I've still got the error message.
Any thoughts besides replacing the Stereo/CD Player?
I've thought about replacing it with an Aftermarket unit, but I would lose some features that I like. I've talked to a number of Stereo Suppliers and they confirmed I would lose some interaction with the Lexus Navigation unit and other things. It is a 86120-0e050 Toyota /Lexus Pioneer Stereo, and to repair it costs $279 plus shipping each way. And the Repair Company can't get it done before April!
There are only 2 Repair Companies that will work on these units.
A used one will cost between $100-$300, and I will need the unlock code for it, and none of the people selling them have the Unlock Code, and Lexus dealer wants another $50 to sell me the code, and that's if I have the Vin# to the vehicle it came out of, and that's not always possible!!
Any Help would be Appreciated.

Maybe time to treat yourself to a new radio upgrade. ![Rock On](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/rockon.gif)
Standard double DIN size radios fit our cars with a radio kit, oh yeah.

I've Tried Everything to Clear the "ERROR 4", NO LUCK!!
I called a Stereo Repar Company, there are only 1 or 2 that repair these units, and was told, that April was the soonest I could get it Done, I'm Not waiting until April.
I purchased a Used Unit from a vehicle that only had 53K miles on it and it was Tested, for $120 delivered.
It's exactly the same part # as mine and with a Money Back Guarantee & Warranty.
I also found out that I Don't Need an "Unlock Code" to use this Stereo, a Pleasent Surprise!
I should have it in a few Days!🤞

I was only trying to give ya a nudge if what you really wanted was a new sound system.
I put in an aftermarket Kenwood stereo and I really like it.

Yea, I saw the "Nudge", but I already got another Stock Radio, being 78, I don't want have to figure out a New Stereo system, I know how to work the Original Stereo Perfectly and I'm Happy with It!
Thanks for the suggestion though!7[500
