Default RX330 2005 vacuum line connection

Can anyone tell me if this connection point in the vacuum line harness is supposed to be unattached? Photos 1 and 2 show an unattached line (with a clean connection barb) I found on my wife's RX while trying to hunt down a leak. It does not make sense that the line is not supposed to be connected to anything...but the photo of the schematic seems to indicate it's not attached to anything. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

I’m the original owner of my 2005 RX 330. After reading your post I went out and popped the hood. Mine looks exactly like yours does. Don’t know what it is, but I do know it’s always been there.

Default Thanks

Thanks lccgl479. I, for some reason, just saw your response and just wanted to say Thank You. Not sure why it took me so long but I appreciate you checking on your vehicle. I'm still looking for the leak...I'll probably have to suck it up, admit defeat and pay to have it done.

No worries man. It’s a busy time of year. Good luck in tracking it down. Merry Christmas. 🎄🎁 🎅🏻
