Knocking/vibration in front end proportional to wheel speed
So I have this issue that’s bugging me and I’ve had a very difficult time diagnosing it. I had an issue with my drivers side bearing so I replaced that with a salvaged knuckle and since then a vibration and knock has developed that definitely isn’t caused by a bearing. I thought it was the cv axle since I saw a thick grease with metalic specs that looked like it had spun out from the outboard cv boot so I replaced the driver side CV and the problem still persists after. It seems a little less pronounced but it’s still clear as day. The issue also reduces in severity when the wheel is turning to the right. It’s like a knocking vibration that vibrates the entire front end. The car rides smooth but there is this vibration. I put my foot in the very farthest corner of the passenger side and I don’t feel the vibration but when I touch the dashboard the steering wheel or center console I can feel the vibrating.
what on earth could be causing this? I’ve swapped the engine out in this vehicle and I feel totally inept not being able to diagnose a simple suspension / driveline issue. Been avoiding the highway with this vehicle as I have no other choice but to drive it. Any advice appreciated.
