Default Transmission would have to warm up before it goes into drive , Help !

Hello , good day. So I’m new to this but I own an 2008 Lexus rx350 AWD . I’ve notice lately when ever I start it and shift it into drive it wouldn’t go , the engine would rev up like normal with no drive but would instantly go into reverse whenever I shift it into reverse. I would have to start it and let it sit and idle for about 10 minutes before it goes into drive and once it goes into drive everything is fine , it would drive and shift all gears smooth with no issues , any ideas on what maybe causing this issue or advice would be greatly appreciated , thank you !

Based upon your lack of providing much information I highly doubt anyone can help you. How many miles? any recent work done? Anything out of the ordinary that preciptated this? What codes are present? When was your last transmission service? When was your last transmission fluid change? Have you checked your transmission fluid level? What fluid are you running in your transmission? Those are a few questions that ought to be answered before any guessing

Yeah, need to know if you changed anything when this started happening.

Such as parking on an incline with low fluid?
