Default 2009 RX 350 TMS Wheel sensors

Hi all just replaced my four tires at a local tire shop, my TMS light was on the dash.. the tire shop said they dont like to use aftermarket sensors as they dont always work ... he told me how much the Lexus ones were $$$$ ....so i left the old ones in the wheels... has anyone used the https://www.tpmsdirect.com/TS01_TPMS...4-460-ts01.htm they are $20 each.... So when i got the car back home i looked at the wheels WTF .. all wheels were damaged scratched up good, the tire guy was in training lol.... so the tire shop is getting me four new seven spoke alloy wheels... i will not mention what tire shop.. but they are all over California

Goodness.. how bad were the scratches?! Happy that it sounds like it was resolved fast.
I'd recommend getting the Pacific (OEM brand) from Rockauto, if you don't want to pay dealership prices.

The cheaper aftermarket takes a bit to register each day. The normal priced ones like the Dill(?) brand from Costco works better but it's like $60 each + installation fee.

I have never used that particular brand however I ordered the TPMS currently on my 2007 RX350 from Amazon which came in a box of 4 for $37 and had the lexus dealership install them. Here is the link ACLONG TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor for Toyota Lexus Scion, 315MHz TPS Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensors Carmy Corolla Highlander Sienna Replacement PMV-107J, 42607-33011, 42607-33021, 4 PCS https://a.co/d/6EicCOU Hope that helps.

You realize of course, that these are not Toyota parts. The name of the company is OEM. That's why they're labeled as OEM parts. You may wish to rethink your purchase if you want original Toyota parts.

The sensors from the dealer aren’t Toyota made parts either. They are made by Pacific Indusrries. Dill and Denso also rebrand the sensor as their own but they are all Pacific

Wow, thats no good. Great to hear that they're taken care of you.....Great time to upgrade your wheels. 8.5'' wheels work great w/ 235's btw.......8.5'' x 18 w/ a 10mm offset work great btw......

I did notice that the tire shop used the impact tool to fit the locking wheel nuts, shouldnt they have done that using bar and socket, i can see the marks on the nut key..

Depends on the impact gun used and their experience. At tire shops some use impact guns turned down so the lugnuts still need to be hand torqued. If the impact gun is a regular gun and they went full trigger that can be a problem.

Got the new wheels fitted today the new TPS sensors worked fine, i was told one of the top guys did my wheels, riding home i noticed every bump in the road surface, i had a good idea what the problem was. I waited for the tires to cool down and checked pressure using two gages ...38PSI lol... door jam and handbook 30 psi... dropped pressure to 30 psi,,..... now the orange warning light is on again..... Idiots ....i have to go back a third time to re calibrate...

can't you recalibrate the warning levels yourself by pressing the TPMS button at the bottom of the dash?
(Excuse me if this is wrong, I believe this is how it works on my LS)
