Where is the vapor canister located
I have a 2009 RX350 AWD which pops up the codes P0441, P0455, and P0456. One of the items named as a possible source of trouble is the vapor canister.
I have no idea where the canister is located. Google searches reveal nothing for any model of RX around the year. Nor did I see anything in this forum. Sorry if I missed it. I understand that the filter is somewhere under the vehicle near the fuel tank. I looked under it from the rear but could not find it. This model has the spare tire mounted under the vehicle in the rear and the canister is not seen anywhere near that location.
There are other possible causes for these codes. One being a leak in one of the vapor lines. I did find the tube from the canister to the purge valve under the hood cracked, and cracked enough to be suspect. I repaired that, but I would also like to look at the hose connections to the canister itself.
On the other hand, perhaps the crack I found and repaired will turn out to be the problem. I'll know if the codes return.

I presume that it is easier to get to with the car up on a lift. I don't know that mine has a fault. I simply want to at the least examine the hose connections to it. I found the end of the hose connected to the purge valve to have a crack in it. The crack extended beyond the clamp so it would be leaking. I fixed that. Now it's simply a matter of waiting to see if the code reoccurs.
