Decoding blink codes from security light

Hi All,
I've been trying to add some new keys to a 2004 RX330. I've got the keys cut and the lock/unlock remotes paired, but I'm having trouble with registering some of the immobilizer transponder chips.
Years ago, when I tried doing this with Techstream, I had no luck at all, and now my version of Techstream has expired, so I can't really even use that, anymore. Fortunately, I discovered that I can register new transponder chips with the following incantation:
So, here's where I need help: When I try to register one of those chips, the "Security" light flashes slowly for about 10 seconds, and then it switches to some error code. It's flashing TWO quick flashes, then a brief pause, and then ONE flash, and then a long pause.
Anybody have an idea what that 2-1 flash sequence means?

- Insert a working master key into the ignition without turning 5x (remove it the first 4 times, but leave it in the last time)
- Open/close driver door 6x.
- Remove master key
- Observe "Security" light is solid
- Insert new key to be registered
- Watch "Security" light flash slowly for about 45-60 seconds until it goes out and then the new key will work.

Welcome to Club Lexus and your 1st post! ![Big Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)
I have no idea what the security light blink codes are, hopefully somebody knows.
Here is what I do know.
Immobilizer is enabled: red security blinks at a slow steady pace. Car won't start.
Immobilizer is disabled: red security light is off. Car will start.
Do you have a key that will start the car?

So, yes. I had one master key which could start the car, and now I have two because the process worked for a flip-out key (so both keys turn the security light off when I insert them). The same incantation doesn't work for any of my other chips, however.
So, I don't know if it's a problem with the version of the chip or if it's a problem with the list of registered transponder chips being full or what.

It can be either as you already suspect.
When I have time I will dig in too see if I have any info in my tech docs on this.
If anyone knows what the security like blinks codes are, please post it up.
