How do I replace my positive battery cable on my 2006 Lexus RX 400h? Previous own spliced it to make the car run on a deep cycle battery which Lord only knows why I even bought the car from him knowing that. He assured me it wasn't a problem because the electric motor makes it so that you don't need as many amps to fire up the electric motor which starts the gas engine. I'm at a loss with how I'm supposed to address this and am considering just calling a tow truck to take it to the scrap yard even though it ran and drove when parked.

how are you going from replacing the positive cable to taking it to the scrap yard even if it runs?
It turns on, does it drive? Poster above shows the parts diagram for the cable.
