Yup! It was there all along. I see some of the dealer work reported, but they are not complete. I will update with all the service work I have done. This is great! Thanks.

My dealer here in Austin,Texas said my 10,000 mile service will be 129.00...So what it sounds to me is taking our new Lexus back to dealer for service work is a rip off....Right ?

I pay $30.00 but I buy the oil and I go twice a year because I use synthetic but he supplies the correct oil filter . They even take my wife back to work and there is no oil dripping when these guys do a job. I am very happy to have them .

Default the dealer quoted me $75 with tire rotation

oil change and rotation are due on my '07 RX350, so I called the dealer to set up an appointment. The guy quoted me $75 for both oil change and tire rotation ("Genuine Lexus filter and Valveline semi-synthetic oil", he said with proud tone). Does that sound about right? As I understand, the rotation uses the full size spare tire under the trunk. So I guess it's more work that I have to pay for.

That is a good price especially from a Lexus dealer. I was quoted $149 for the same work here in Texas.

If you would like to rotate the spare ask them if it is included. Most of the dealers do not touch the spare tire for rotation

Unless this is your first tire rotation, I can hardly see any benefit to using the spare as an alternative, in fact, it might be a problem unless the spare is at the same wear rate as the tire it's replacing.

Kind of like replacing one worn out tire only versus doing both sides, only not so much of an extreme.

The only way I would use semi-synthetic is if the vehicle had high miles or if u were changing it every 1-2K.

local Lexus dealer charges $57. Went to a Toyota dealer instead, even with my own oil filter, they charged me $36 altogether, after 1.5 hr wait, and didnt even give it a wash.

Will do it myself next time at in-laws.

Has anyone replaced tranny and differential fluids on their own? What tools are needed?

I see that you do your O/C at 10K intervals. I do mine at 7.5K. (of course with synthetic)

the last time I had it done the oil was in excellent condition. I was wondering what do others do their O/C's at?

thanks.
