NAV Trip too "conservative?"
I have an '04 RX330 AWD with NAV, and my question is regarding the "Trip Information" function...
Does anyone else find the "Miles remaining" excessively conservative? I've had the car for a few months, and I've filled up the tank when the "Trip Information" shows single-digit miles (like, 3 miles remaining, for example), but I've never squeezed more than 15.5 gallons into the 19-gallon tank.
I realize that there should be a "reserve." But does anyone else have similar experience with the "miles remaining" being close to zero with 3.5 gallons (potentially 60 miles or more) still in the tank?
Just wondering...

I agree. The trip info readout and low fuel light run the tank out at between 15 and 16 gallons. It's certainly better to be safe than sorry, but Lexus seems to overdo it a bit.
