Default RX 330 Cargo Net

Another thread on that elusive cargo net. My 330 is due in late next week and my dealer says that the net is NOT available. Does anyone have a part number for the net? Better yet, does anyone know who has them for sale?

We gave our 1999 Sienna XLE minivan to relatives, prior to purchasing the RX330 last summer. We kept the Sienna's cargo net, thinking it might fit into the RX330... the net itself seems to be of similar construction and the right size, but the "anchor bolts" that tie into the frame just didn't fit in snugly enough on the RX330. I am sure that if we had really wanted the installation to work, we could have searched for some larger replacement bolts. Near the back of the cargo area (against the power hatch/door), there are a couple of small round knock outs (one on each side). That's the way the cargo net attached on the Sienna - and it was a near-fit on the RX330. If you do get desperate, a pre-2003 Sienna cargo net from Toyota could probably work for you (perhaps a 2004 model version would work perfectly, I don't know). I don't remember the cargo net being very expensive over at Toyota either. Good luck.

Regards,
- HiTechRX

i got the cargo net for my RX330 last july - i don't know the part number but i got it from the lexus dealer. it's about $40 and you have to drill two holes to install it. kind of spooky at first to drill holes but the instructions are clear and simple. my wife can't live without the net.

Default Love the cargo net

I agree, the cargo net is a great feature. I also picked it up from my Lexus dealer last summer.

Yeah, I was terrified at the thought of drilling holes in my new RX 330, but it was pretty easy. In the end, I was more worried about losing the fastening bolt forever between the panels when screwing in the anchor.

Default 05 RX 330 Cargo Net

Hello,

A friend of mine just gave me a Lexus cargo net , but without the hooks. If you have one installed in your 330, please post a picture of the hook and how it is mounted.

Many thanks in advance.

you really need the original hooks and mounting bolts. the cargo net, when purchased separately, comes with the hooks and bolts, and paper cut-outs for the drilling template. you have to drill a small hole in the trunk panels to allow for the hooks. you can't see the mounting job in a picture anyway, because the bolt holding the hook screw is behind the trunk panel. you have to reach in there with your hand and hold the bolt in place to secure the hook.

I had my net installed on the 400h by the dealer. It looks like the old one that I had on my RX300 but sturdier. Holes have to be drilled and something installed. I assume the dealer should be able to get them without a problem.
