I have a late year 04 outside the TSB range, and my rear wiper works well.

Dealers GM called and will personally go for ride with me to listen for rattle, etc.
Even ask if we need a loaner so looks good. I will ask about the rear wiper too as that streaks big time. Have had wiper blade repalced already.
Will post when they finish with it.
