DVD Entertainment System - Rear Seat

It is currently available on the RX330 as a factory option for about $1800 retail. The screen is attached to the headliner, and it includes two wireless headphones. It also has an auxiliary input located in the cargo space. I'm not sure if it requires the navigation option as well, but the standard builds coming from the factory seem to include it only on units with nav.
DVD was never offered on the RX300, and Lexus doesn't offer anything for the 300. Several forum members have put in aftermarket systems that work really well, though.

That's weird, I just went to the Lexus website and tried to build my own RX330 and nowhere does it show a rear seat entertainment system as an option, not as part of option packages or as an individual option. Maybe it is my zip code?

Check the Lexus site, RX330, interior:
http://www.lexus.com/models/rx/interior.html
Scroll down to "DVD Entertainment System" and click on "Play Demo RSES"
I notice that under the "Build" menu, as you say there is no listed option for the RSES, however there is a selection to be made for the wireless headsets - which would be pretty useless without the RSES. The option used to be listed with the first page of packages you select - in the fine print. Must be an oversight by the webmaster, eliminated during an update.
There are a number of aftermarket options available for considerably less money. Use the "Search" feature for "RSES". If my 330 were not a lease, I'd definitely go that way, with name-brand monitors in the headrests and the player in/on the console. The stock rear screen is fairly small (7") and picture quality is truly miserable. For $1200 you can do much better.

Just because it is not listed as an option you can select from when building your Lexus through the Lexus website, the option is still available. The available options you see when building the car are what the regional managers for your area have decided to order on a routine basis. If, however, you want the other options like the performance package, multi-panel sunroof, or rear entertainment, you will have to special order your vehicle through your dealer. Getting your car then can take up to 3 months but then you can customize your vehicle to your exact specifications.
To try it out, put in different zip codes from around the country when "building your lexus" and you will see that different areas have different options available. I like to try 90210 frequently as they sometimes list additonal packages not available in my area -- this allows you to price your vehicle.

I can't seem to locate a zip code that will allow me to add the radar cruise control or the adjustable height control as options on the Lexus website for the RX330. Are those coming standard now?
