Unhappy RX330 235/55VR18 tires

Just wondering what people got on their RX330.
I think it comes with either the

Goodyear Eagle RS-A
or
Michelin Energy MXV4 S8

Mine came with the Goodyear and after some research on Tire Rack I found out their treadwear and performance is inferior compared with the Michelin. I wished I had opted for the Michelin when I bought the car.

I also want to point out that the treadwear for the Goodyear is only 260 (Michelin is 440), and that's not very good at all. I probably will need a new set not too far down the road. Unfortunately those two are the only choices that I can find. No other tire manufacturer seems to make those size tires.

What are some of your experiences?

My 330 with 18's came with Goodyears, I didn't think I had a choice? I've never really been a fan of Goodyear tires, and I've never gotten the mileage out of them that they're supposed to get. Hopefully when the time comes to buy new tires, Bridgestone will have something in the size I need. I've got a few more years before I need to worry about it anyway....

Don't the GY vs. Michelin come on the car depending on FWD vs. AWD? I remember that's the why it worked on the 300 - Michelins on the AWDs and Goodyears on the FWD.

I have the Michelins on my AWD 330.

Thats a good thing, since Michelin is a superior tire.

My wifes RX330(AWD, NAV) has the Michelin's. We had 2 loaners with Goodyears, both were AWD non-NAV. IMHO, the Goodyears offer a quiter ride.

I asked the dealer to find Michelin tires with NAV and AWD when I purchased the car. The dealer told me they would try to find it if there is one in their inventory lot. When they handed over the keys, I realized the tires were Goodyear. The dealer told me they could not find any car with the Michelin tires, my color and features. According to him, they had 6 cars with same color and features at that time. I didn't trust them that they really didn't have the one with Michelin tires. Therefore, I went to their inventory lot and found two of them had Michelin. I called him the next day and he apologized. They swapped the tires to Michelin a few days later.

I don't like Goodyear tires much. I used to drive ES300 with Goodyear. They wore off really quick like less than 30K. Goodyear tires might be quieter. But I think I will stick with Michelin.
