Default Leased the RX330 today $4000 down $451 per month

I am in St Louis, MO and I got a 48 month lease for my wife for a:

RX 330
* white exterior / ivory interior
* premium package
* heated front seats with ran sensing wipers
* power rear door
* transmission cooler
* wood and leather steering wheel

The MSRP for the car was $40,425

Our lease was for $4000 down+ $851 (Taxes, registration, first month payment, etc) and $451 per month for 48 months.

What do you guys think of the deal? Did we get ripped off or was this a good deal?

22.5K for 4 years. what will the residual be if you want to buy it outright?

Seems high to me considering you can get a RX330 with NAV for invoice on arounf 39,400. I guess your credit and rate play a huge role but if the rate is good (maybe 4%) and credit is good (>750) then this seems high. But i'll let the leasers chime in.

It is actually $26408 total ($4000 down + 400 fees + 451x48 payments). I have a 770 credit score. The buy off for the car at the end of the lease is $19000.

Anyone experienced with leases know if this was a good deal or not?

Thanks!

So total cost will be 45408 to own it fully. Can you negotiate the buy out price after the 4 years or is that written in stone? What was your interest rate for the 4 year lease?

A decent deal. This is my second RX lease. MSRP was $41,838. Purchase price was $39,000. $3,500 down included all fees, 1st months lease payment , no security deposit. I paid an additional $179 to Utah to title and license (car purchased from Idaho dealer). My lease is for 48 months (15,000 mi/yr) and payments are $446.02+tax. The adjusted Cap Cost was $36,296.41. My residual at the end of the lease (purchase price) is $20,013.86. I picked the car up in March.

shortbear,

The way to determine if you got a good deal is to determine what your cap cost was (what you bought the car for after discount from MSRP) and what your money factor is (interest rate divided by 2400). The residual % is usually fixed, & can't be negotiated. If the cap cost is just a slight discount from MSRP, or they stuck you with an interest rate higher than normal then your deal wasn't so good. You didn't post your cap cost - only MSRP & residual.

If you are happy with your deal - that's all that matters.

My lease is $489 a month with 15k a year and for 42 months. I had a perfect credit score so I got it with Zero down payment. As for equipment I got everything but nav.

It's a done deal, so it really doesn't matter.....

Given today's low interest rate, your excellent credit score, and high resale value of the RX, you'd be much better off money-wise if you had financed the RX and sold it 4 years later instead of leasing. Although the cash outlay would be higher during the 4 years until you sell the RX and recouped your "investment."

Then again it's already a done deal. Enjoy your RX.
