Question on integrating bluetooth
Hi we just bought a new Silver RX 330 (with most options Nav/dvd etc) and have a few questions.
The dealer was pushing me to purchase an integrated hands-free system that they would install for $995.
Does anyone have a hands free system installed that connects to the RX speakers? Also does anyone recommend a particular system or brand and what should it cost with installation?
Are these systems bluetooth enabled?
So far we love the RX (4 days), great touring vehicle, (I was torn between it and the FX 35).
Thanks,
Linus

That is a ripoff price. Is that a bluetooth system?
I have two non-bluetooth hands free systems, one for my GS400 and one for the RX300. What you want is a Pro Install Kit, and all mobile phone manufacturers make them. I have one from Motorola and one from Samsung. They normal cost around $200, but you might be able to find them for less. I was lucky, I had a friend who worked for these companies and gave them to me for free.
I had to pay $175 to a local installer to professionally install it. Works perfectly. Voices are clear and loud, and the radio automatically mutes when a call comes in. I love it.
One warning, it only works with the brand of phone that you buy. You can upgrade to a new phone from the same company and you may have to change the cradle ($40 or so). If you go to a new brand you are SOL.
