Hi everyone,
I'm new to this board. I'm thinking of getting the 2005 Rx 330 but after reading here about the tranny problem i'm thinking twice about getting this car now. This is not a cheap car......
Does anyone know whether the new 2005 Rx330 still have the tranny issue seen on the 2004 Rx330.
Thanks,
Mark.

This is too new to guage. We have an 04 RX330 made in Jul 04 and have not had any so called tranny issues. Vehicle is nearly 3 weeks old and 2500 miles strong.

The RX330 uses the 5spd ECT-i Auto tranny as the ES330, Camry and Solara V6 models. Alot of the so-called tranny hesitation is experienced in the early miles of the vehicle. You will know it when you accellerate. Because the tranny isn't fully broken in at 1k, people tend to get over excited about something that will smooth out as the mileage gets racked on.

I checked the NHTSA.gov website. It looks like the RX330 got lots of TSB open.
Does anyone know whether all the problems have been resolved for the 2005 model?
