Default Lexus mudguards

I ordered a RX330 today and was thinking of getting the Lexus mudguards installed prior to picking up
the car later this week. I wonder if anyone on the RX forum has them and how you like them. I ordered the Bamboo Pearl color.

Thanks in advance,
Carl

Congrats on your new 330. I have a set of these mudguards on my 330:

They are probably the same thing you'll get from the dealer. They are really nice and installed pretty easily. They definitely helped keep the sludge off the lower half of the car.

Thanks FlintRX,

I purchased the mudguards direct from the dealer today and they installed them free.
They cost the EBay cost with the shipping fee so I think I got a good deal.

They do look very nice !

Thanks again.

I got the mud guards on my 330 last month. I think it really adds to the look while also being functional. Have you thought about getting chrome rims? I have gotten many compliments on how nice they look. They weren't cheap but I'm very happy with them!

Chrome wheels would not stay nice for very long here in northern Ohio with the salt they put on
the roads in winter. Your lucky to be in Calif. !

Check the earlier thread on these mudguards. I posted pictures. I got mine from www.irontoad.com (actually a Lexus dealer) for about $88 plus shipping.

Thumbs up Mud guards

Yep. Got the winter floormats at the same time, also. Fit perfectly. Haven't seen anyone beat irontoad prices.

So these are OEM parts?
Did they come in a Toyota box with the hardware and the instructions?
Also, may I ask how much for shipping?
Local dealer wants $160 for them. I bought them thinking if I find a better deal when I get home I'll just take them back. Looks like I'm going back for a refund.

Yes, both the mudguards and the winter floormats are Toyota genuine parts. Irontoad is a company that owns multiple dealerships, two of which are Lexus and Toyota. Shipping is based on total amount spent. If they don't list a part, email them and they will give you a quote. I lumped together things like oil filters, cabin air filters, mud guards, winter floormats, and air filter. Saves on shipping, plus no tax as I am out of state. Ordered all the maintenance parts I needed from them for my wife's Toyota, also, though you cannot mix Lexus part orders with Toyota as a different dealership handles each order.

I just bought and installed the mudgaurds this weekend! They did come in a toyota box and I paid $84 for them! Retail price was $$144.00

My dealer has a deal that 30 days after you buy, you can get anything for I think 30% off!!

I picked up some Lexus Leather cleaner and conditioner, they have a price of $15 with the Discount I paid $4.50 a bottle. Needless to say I took 6 bottles each The Cleaner is really good

Yes it will require some drilling. The color instructions that come with the mudgaurds are very detailed. If you can read and follow instructions you're ok.

On a side note, I like your calipers. Have the stickers changed color or shrunk from the high temps, or are they ok?

thanks for the info..i may just order them

as for the calipers, the stickers and calipers still look as good as when i did them (which was over 8 months ago). i did spray many layers of high temp clear over the finished product, and that may have helped. i really like the way it still has that stock appearance and isnt too gawdy.
