2006 400h or GS AWD?
Has anyone else considered buying the AWD new GS 300 instead of the 400h? It will be over a year since I first put down a deposit on a 400h. It sounds like a great car, but I wonder when I'd really get my car. The new GS is starting to look more interesting; especially since it is due in Feb. or March 2005.

There is, in my opinion, such a large difference between the RX and GS that I don't think there will be that many who would consider crossing over. More likely, the delay in the RX400h will cause most to purchase an AWD RX330, or maybe the GX if they were on the borderline for a larger model.
I would never go back to a cramped sedan after having my RX for several years.

It all depends what you are going to need in a vehicle......if you need lot's of interior space, the RX might be the way to go. If it isn't that important (I'm sure those that are in the GS target market will have more than enough room) I'd go with the GS but you loose the Hybrid system of the RX400h. I personally don't have a need for an SUV (but love the ADW idea especially here in Canada) so I have the GS AWD on my short list as it makes more sense for me.

Interesting points. I already have a '99 RX. I am giving it to my son. Therefore, the need for room isn't so critical. I do enjoy the extra space for unexpected purchases. A week after I got the RX I went to IKEA and ended up filling the whole back with items for my son's room. I do plan to take a trip to the dealer and get a closer look. I'm assuming that the inside dimensions of the new GS are similar to the old one.
