Hmmm... I've considered the portable units - they've been around a while now.. but I really love the whole built-in concept... Seeing as I already have a perfectly capable screen already in the dash, I can't bring myself to put another free-floating device in the car, with another power cable and lighter adapter. This of course, would be on top of the Sirius receiver and cell phone charger along with the wired, non-bluetooth headset. So you can picture the growing clutter around my dash and center console already...
I know about the liability thing - but I know some vendors make it surprisingly easy to "hack" your way to the desired functionality, if for no other reason than to increase their potential customer base.
Anyway - the question still stands - anyone have any luck with video while on the move with an AVIC-100?

Interesting - thanks for the heads up.
I actually ended up going to techinfo.toyota.com last night and getting all the diagrams and stuff for the nav and audio systems. If I'm feeling brave this weekend, I might make a run to Radio Shack and give it a whirl. Looks like all I need is an NTSC -> RGB converter and a whole boatload of cables and connectors. I'll post DIY plans if I get it to work.
