Ok, so I did a little experiment today. After all the rains we had in so cal the light grey floormats in my 2 week old RX330 looked like ****. Today in the mail I received my Lloyd's Rubbertite All Season Floormats and Cargo Mat. They are quite nice, however, before installing them over my OEM floormats, I wanted to clean the floor mats.
So I took the two front mats out, sprayed down some key areas with spray and wash, just like it were a stained shirt and then put them in the washer. Instead of laundry detergent, i put in about 8 fl ounces of Bissell carpet cleaning solution which we use for our Bissell carpet steam cleaning machine. Set the water volume to large and set the machine on warm and the gentle cycle.
I ran the machine with the lid open just to make sure things were not getting tore up and ran the gentle cycle twice and rinse cycle three times.
At this point the floormats were immaculate! I threw them into the dryer with a low heat setting for 5 minutes and then layed them out in the living room to completely dry. They look like they are brand new!
Prior to this washing the mats looks as if I used them to help clean up the Exxon Valdez after it cracked opened. I think the most important part of this whole thing was the Bissell chemical which you can buy at any costco. Even though the mats are thin it held up pretty good in the machine.
Once I take some pics, I will post again.

The Tide routine has been working for me. New front loading washer, set to delicate, cold/cold, extra rinse. Spray on a little Shout stain remover if I have any spots. The mats come out great. Though, I haven't tried the dryer yet.
