Bluetooth: Out of Range
I am trying to connect a Siemens SX66 to the RX330 Bluetooth System. I get messages Bluetooth Connected Successfully. The icon in the upper right corner says BT but it also says Out of Range.
I can answer calls and place them from the phone. But I can not control the phone (dial out) from the vehicle. Any ideas? Out of Range always indicated no signal, but in this case, I don't think the vehicle and phone profiles are compatible.

I have experienced the same problem with my phone. I have a Sony T610 with T-Mobile.
I have found that there seems to be a timing issue between the phone and the car.
If you try to have the phone handshake with the car before it is actually logged in to the cell system the blue tooth will say it is connected but the phone did not have time to tell the car it was in range with the cell system.
If you turn on your phone first and let it log in to it's cellular system first, the star your car and let the bluetooth system ingage it will usally work just fine from there on in. This symtom seems to happen when you have a weak or no signal on the phone.
I find that if I keep the phone on all the time while I'm out in the car the process works just fine.
I hope this helps

That doesn't seem to help for me.
BTW, I have a Cingular Siemens SX66 Pocket PC Phone (XDA III). Still Out of Range no matter what combination of power up, antenna signal, etc.

I also have an SX66 with the same problem, it is probably a compatibility issue... I don't know if it is a Siemen's problem or a Lexus but I sure hope it is fixed soon because I am not about ready to give up my pocketpc...

You won't get signal strength displayed and transferring phone numbers can be a bear because you have to pull out the formatting ()- but other than that it seems to work well.
