Just bought a used RX330 @ 23K for my wife (she absolutely LOVES the thing). Full tilt but minus the heigth adjustment system. Noticed the maps are outdated by at least 2 years. Searched and found a previous string regarding the updating of the map DVD. In that thread one of you inserted a response you got from the mfr about where how etc and that the new DVD was in the $200+ USD range. But our dealer in Bellevue WA is trying to tell me that the update is $550.
Can any of you confirm what price you paid for the updated DVD in a US market?
Thanx.

A good price is $125-150.
Typical dealer list is $225-250.
$550 is an outrage; I'd be tempted to call Lexus and report that dealer, although they'd probably make some excuse like they misunderstood what you wanted.
Since you've got a 330, you're only one version behind despite the date. Before you spend the cash, you may want to research what's changed to see if it's worth the money. They don't update 100% of the data every time.
The disc coming with 2005 RX330's has updated software as well as map data, but the software update doesn't apply to the 2004. You won't get any new features - just map data.

BOOYAH - I didn't buy it for 23K, the mileage is @ 23K, the price was 39 Gs. So you can pick yourself up off the floor or wherever it was that you landed after reading what you thought was the price tag.
Thanx, TSL

I was thinking to myself holy crap my 04 has lost that much value!! Glad I just read it wrong. The price you paid is about right----Enjoy
