RX330 (normal or Thunderhill ed.) pricing
Hi guys,
New member on the forum and I'm in the process of buying a RX330. I was wondering if anyone could let me know the price they paid for the SUV. Just trying to get some figures for bargaining leverage. The option I'm looking for is the Premium Plus pack and possibly the Thunderhill edition (love the grill ) if it's not too expensive. Also, how much would Nav add? I'm coming from a E46 M3 so this will be my first Lexus.

Just ordered on from a dealer in Long Island. I was also considering the Thundercloud, but when I saw it on the lot, I still didn't like the rims. The grill was the only thing I liked. You are also forced to have a gray interior and I wanted black, so I opted for silver/black combination.
Also coming from a BMW, but keeping it (just a 325) and sold my Passat instead.
You will not be able to negotiate on a Thundercloud as well as on the "regular" RX, since there are only 6500 Thunderclouds. However, the Thunderclouds will all be manufactured in Japan and I will no doubt be getting one from my homeland instead.
The options were: premium plus, heated seats/rain sensor, cd changer, tow package, prefered accessory package, 18 in alloys. MSRP was $42500, somewhere around there. But you should be able to get around $38-39 without nav, around 40 with nav. The only reason to get NAV was to get the rearview camera, but apparently you can get the rearview camera as a stand alone dealer option (aftermarket). Good luck!

all thunderclouds from Japan?
jngjng - which dealer did you deal with on Long Island. I went to Rallye (before I read HarrierAWD's comments on them - but so far the sales process has gone well). They told me that the Thundercloud I am getting is coming in from Canada.
I saw a post before that said only the Flint Mica Thundercloud came from Japan, while I'm getting the Thundercloud colored one. Not sure if that makes a difference though.

Edmunds Option
If you go to the MSN site and go through thier auto options, you can build an RX and get an invoice price. I'm getting my car on Tuesday from Rallye on Long Island -- Premium Plus with Navigation (Thundercloud wasn't available when I ordered).

Check the invoice price given for the car you want on Carsdirect.com. I bought my RX330 last summer for their invoice price +$200. A better negotiator than myself could have done better.

Went to Rallye Lexus. I have had good luck with the Rallye Group (at least with BMW and Acura), and I have had friends who purchased at Rallye with only positive things to say, so I figured the risk of getting a bad experience was relatively low. The best thing to do is shop around first and get them to match the price. I found a lowball price at Rockville Lexus (also owned by Lexus of Massapequa, so if you had a BAD experience at one, you will more than likely get the same treatment at the other) and Rallye was able to match it.
I found Rallye dealerships to be very non-aggressive (none of that "what can I do to get you into this car today" crap). When I was there, I did see a Thundercloud coloured Thundercloud on the lot, and I checked the VIN and it was definitely from Japan. I am pretty sure that the Thunderclouds are not made in Ontario, but I could be wrong. Right now, I am on order with a silver "regular" one so I am sure it will be from up north.
One thing I did notice, and I confirmed with my sales rep yesterday is that the price of the RX just increased. I was checking on Edmunds.com and the TMV when I purchased the car was around $38500, and now Edmunds is quoting 39100 for the same vehicle/equipment!
