Yesterday, my Wife called me at work and said the key would not turn so having a 1990 Honda Accord several years ago that did same after 100,000+ miles, she 'jiggled' the steering wheel. Key still would not turn, so she pulled out owners manual and it addressed the issue. 'Jiggle' the steering wheel while turning key...it worked.
Anyone else had this event?? We kept our RX300 '02 for 3 years and this never happened. Now the RX330 one month old 1000 miles and key would not turn. She has started the car about 10 times since with no problem. I am not complaining just wondering if this is normal operation.

Nothing out of the whack. The situation happens if the stearing wheel is turned after ignition key is pulled out. We had that happened often when our kids were younger and would make belive driving. There is a steering lock (mechanical interlock) which assures the sterring would be locked (will not turn) without the key. At a certain point the locking mechanism prevents the key-cylender from turning.
