Lexus Personalized settings
When I bought my RX-330, I was never told about any personalized settings and found out about them quite by accident. After spending several hours in my owner's manual trying to identify the various settings that could be personalized, I did some research and found the document that describes the settings and options.
Here is the link for the 2005 RX-330
http://www.lexus.com/assets/models/w...ectionForm.pdf
Hope someone else finds this helpful. I believe that if you replace the RX330 in the link above with LS430, RX400H, etc. it will bring up documents for the other models.

That is a helpful link... thanks. It's about time that Lexus started publicizing the options available.
These settings are referred to as "C-BEST settings". (C-BEST means something like Customizable Body Electronics Settings.)
You can search the forum for C-BEST and find similar info for previous model years.

The link from Lextranny is interesting. It goes into a lot more detail about the "Lexus Personalized Settings" program.
One of the things it says is that the customer request form for LPS is *not* complete - it's a list of commonly requested changes. That means that the list of C-BEST settings in the service manual is still the ultimate authority.
It sounds like Lexus dealers wanted a better way to deal with requests for C-BEST changes. Let's admit the capability is there, and offer the customer a free, one-time opportunity to change as many as they would like.
I'm sure that each dealer will decide on their own how many C-BEST settings they'll do for you before it's no longer free. At least now they've got something to point to from Lexus corporate that sets the expectation that it's not free forever. But, if they need to do something for you that requires them to plug in the diagnostic computer anyway, the better dealers will probably be willing to make C-BEST changes for you at the same time.

C-Best
I'm of the opinion that the C-BEST info should be given to the buyer when he BUYS the car and not when he picks it up. He/she can then phone the dealer as to what they want set up.
Very presumptuous of Lexus to deliver the vehicle with the settings set to their choosing and not the buyers.
