RX330 oil change

RX330 oil change
I have a new RX330 and am interested if anyone has changed the oil themselves? It looks like a project to remove the shroud under the engine etc. Is there a site where I can find a diagram of the engine? Thanks.

I just changed the oil in my RX330 last night. Took about 20 minutes since it was the first time I've done it on this car.
Buy a cap style oil filter wrench. The dealer or factory really cranks the filter on! The factory filter has 14 flats so just buy one that fits correctly (I made the mistake of buying one that didn't fit first). I bought my cap wrench at Murry's auto parts for 2.99.
I didn't remove the full shroud. Only the oil access panel with four bolts on the passenger side.
Loosen the oil filter and let it slowly drain into the pan before removing completely. If you have a big enough pan you can remove the oil filter then remove the drain plug and let it drain at the same time. My pan wasn't big enough to accomodate each.
The only thing i couldn't figure out is removing the old crushable washer. They had cranked the oil drain plug on so tight i think it 'welded' to the bottom of the pan. I tried a little while to remove it but gave up and just left it. It was in good shape so hopefully I won't have any problems.

How?
I change my own too but have to remove the full shroud to get at filter. I would think without doing that one could not get to the filter & if you could oil would drip all over the place.
Just looking for info about this as to make the oil & filter change easier.

I was able to change it without removing the shourd. Just access the oil filter from the top. Make sure the engine is cold so you don't burn your hand. You can reach in and feel the oil filter pretty easily with the car on the ground.
