Not sure if anyone has done this but I just installed 255/55/18 tires on my '05 RX330. Fit is very very close to rear suspension but works fine without spacers.

Great news! You're the first to upsize tires on the 330 with stock rims on this forum - I think. My OEM tires are going to have to be replaced this fall and I'd wanted to upsize them as I did on my RX 300. Glad to know the 255/55/18's fit!
Thanks!
Thanks!

You think that is close?
I just put 255/50/20 on my 04 RX330 and I have about 1/8" clearence to the rear lower spring perch
The rims are a 20x8.5" +20 offset and I have about 1/4" clearence to the inner plastic fender liner and maybe 1/2" clearence to the strut itself. Stock there is no rubbing and I just installed Eibach springs and so far no rubbing either, but since I just put the springs in yesturday I haven't fully tested it out yet and the springs hasn't settle yet either. The tire is much taller but since it has a 707 revs per mile compared to stock 717 according to my GPS my odometer only reads about 2 MPH slow.

I'm running Pirelli PZero's. I can hear the tires on the freeway but still very quiet. With the stereo on I can't hear them at all. Steering is slightly heavier moving slowly but not a problem.

Congratulations drill.
A couple of months ago I wanted to install 255/50/18 Toyo Proxes S/T to replace the Michelins.
The guy at my local Toyo dealer said that he doesn't recommend going to that size (even though the Toyo website said they should fit). Anyway I bought another set of 235 Michelins.
Didn't want to make a $700 mistake.
