Lexus 400h wood trim?
Anyone know if or when Lexus will offer the 400h in wood trim? Everything about this vehicle is great, but this is the only thing holding me back. I couldn't help but notice the fully loaded RX330 sitting next to the 400h on the lot, and how much more elegant and luxurious the vehicle looked, despite being $10k cheaper than the h.
The interior of the h just looks no where near what a $50k+ car should look like. Looks exactly what I would expect on a Toyota 4runner, not a Lexus.
Anyone know when wood will be available? The interior of the 330 just looks so much better.
Thanks.

BTW, i know i could just add wood aftermarket, but that shouldn't be required for a luxury car and the wood steering wheel would be very expensive.

Wood Trim in 400h
I wonder how much more Lexus will jack up the price if they add real wood??? How much does aftermarket wood cost???
When my brother bought his 400h two weeks ago, the dealer had several others sitting there gathering dust and bird poop. In Texas, I don't see folks lining up to buy them!!! I think there will be discounted new vehicles as well as pre-owned vehicles in the near future (6 months). But, that's just my opinion.
A vehicle that sells for $50+K should have wood trim, satellite radio, a working bluetooth sytem, etc., etc., etc.

My dealer had an aftermarket wood trim added to a 400h here (minus the steering wheel). They had it marked up at $999 extra, and you could tell it was done aftermarket.
They were sticking to their MSRP only for the 400h's. They had a lot of preorders, but the ones arriving with no prepaid buyer are not getting bought. They are going to have to do some serious dealing when next year arrives and all the "hybrid crazies" have their 400h's, and they have to sell to regular buyers with a big premium.

IMO, hybrid isn't the way to go. It will take an extended period of driving for you to break even, and much more to make money. And since hybrid technology does not save much in highway driving, don't count on the milage for those long trips -- only city driving.
Lexus should look into installing diesel engines in their car.
