Default Stock Goodyears stink

I have 22K on my RX330, and ran into the same issue. The stock Goodyears on the 18" alloys are terrible. Noisy, rough, and a very short treadlife. My service manager said off-the-record that he's seeing these goodyears fail between 12K and 25K miles across the board.

And if with Goodyear themselves - you'll find that these tires didn't even have a treadwear warranty -- that sez something about Goodyear's confidence in the treadwear.

I ended up choosing Bridgestones over the Michelins and am very happy so far. I've driven RX330 loaners with Michelins. But regardless of which ones people choose -- either is light-years ahead of the Goodyears in ride quality and noise levels.

My $.02 on the alignment -- get it, especially when you have just installed new tires. If you've ever rode over a pot hole, drove in deep ruts, drove on the grass, scraped a curb, etc... You're alignment could have been affected. If you're spending $700 on new tires that are freshly balanced, just plunk down a little extra to get the RX aligned...then she'll drive smooth as Butter.
