Does anyone know if there is a Lexus XM radio package that can be integrated in a similar way? It's for a 2006 RX 330 (non ML). I have XM radio in my other car and would get 'special' family subscription pricing.
Thanks

Hi Frank,
I am just wrapping up the manual on the kit. We should be shipping on Monday. I will send out a mass email when it's ready. Did you want XM or Sirius?
Thanks,

Sirius Kit in a 2004 RX330
The information in this thread is excellent. I have 2 questions.
1. Will the kit for Sirius work, or has anyone installed it, on a 2004 RX330?
2. What is the difference between the 2 fit kits, one with ML and one without. I don't have ML, so I assume I should get that one.
Thanks again.

I searched lexus-parts.com and didn't find anything under the 2007 RX 350.
I will try emailing them to see. Does one need both of these parts? I don't have Mark Lev either, was (frustratingly) not able to find a black RX 350 2007 with NAV and ML without having to special order one.

I'll let you know. I'm installing it this weekend. I opted for the Vais tech unit (SLX) and a standard XMD1000, like the idea of it fully intergrated into the Nav unit. VP911 ran it the same way I plan too, so this is great, thanks.

I don't think it's integrated w/ the NAV screen. I believe it integrates w/ the radio LCD in a 'primitive' fashion.
In other words only a certain number of characters can be displayed on the radio LCD so the XM channel / artist is somewhat abbreviated at best.
Who said the VAIS SLX integrates w/ the NAV screen?
Good luck!

I have yet to find anyone actually selling XM or Sirius for the 2007 RX though... and I don't know if an older model would integrate properly to the NAV even if it would work through the radio display.

I'm pasting this from my post at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=219069
I installed Sirius on my 400h, but I don't see any reason why it would be different for a non-hybrid.
........................
Any satellite radio will cut out in tunnels and such. Now whether you get XM or Sirius depends on your preference. Personally, I love Sirius. The programming is great.
As far as quality over regular FM stations, for me it is a million times better. But that's because my tuner is connected directly into my radio. If you use an FM modulator, tape adapter, or wireless connection, they it won't sound any better than radio. With my direct connection, it sounds almost as good as cd's. Most people will think it does sound as good as a cd, but I can tell the difference (I love music).
The dealers are correct in saying they don't offer anything specifically for the RXh, but there is a unit that they do sell that works. The kit for the ES330 works perfectly with my RXh. I've been quoted by dealers for these 2 parts (part numbers PTS31-00052 & PTS31-33051) anywhere from $300 to $495. Install would be a couple of hours (labor rates vary from dealer to dealer). Now, if you have the RSES option, installing this Sirius unit makes it so that playing a DVD will not produce any sound from the movie over the car's speakers. This means while you are using the RSES, you have to use the wireless headphones if you want to hear sound. I do have the RSES and was willing to make that trade-off.
With the kit comes the tuner, antenna, and necessary wires to connect the tuner to the back of your radio. As posted above, the antenna provided is huge and ugly. I went to Best Buy and bought a new Sirius antenna for $40. The new one is very very small and slim (less than 1/2" tall). The antenna does not have to go on the windshield; the wire is long enough to run it to the back of the car, or to the roof, or to your dashboard.
So in conclusion, the RXh IS DEFINITELY SATELLITE CAPABLE. Sure our cars aren't satellite READY, but that just means we have to install the antenna and cable to the back of the radio, and of course the tuner (other cars that ARE Sirius ready still have to buy the tuner).
Sure you can save money by using an FM modulator, but you lose sound quality. I'd think that if you can afford a $50k car, you can pay the money to go the route of direct connect (whether you buy the parts and install it yourself [easy install], or have the dealer install it for a fee).
I hope all of this helps!

You mentioned part 3051. The PTS31-33050 has a total of 5 connectors on the end. A pass through for the Radio like you've mentioned in this post, and connector for the Sirius tuner, also mentioned by you. But it also has a 16P AMP Harness pass through. I have no idea where to connect this. Any ideas? Is this only for Mark Lev systems.
BTW, I have a RX400.

The antenna I did end up moving so there is less wire showing, but that is up to you how you want to do it.

Can I ask one clarifying question about your antenna install....where exactly did you end up putting the magnetic antenna? I can tell (from the pictures and your description) you passed on the windshield version and went with the small round antenna...but I can't accurately tell from your picture exactly where you ended up in the back of the RX - and how it looks from 5-10 feet away.
Also...did you have to get extra antenna cabling with the add-on unit you purchased, or was there a specific SKU that came ready with extra antenna cable that worked for your install?
Thanks very much for your uber-detailed install walk-through. Very helpful to all here on the Forum.
