Default Installed Sirius

I just finished installing Sirius into the car. It is the factory integrated system, works great.

My only complaint was the kit I ordered (from lexus-parts.com) comes with an enormous antenna that they want mounted next to the rear view mirror. I think it is f'ugly, so I went to circuit city and bought a low profile magnetic mount antenna. I put double sided 3M tape and put it on the dash - pass side.

It shouldn't take longer than 1 hour to install - fairly simple. I did not, however, put the receiver under the seat like they wanted (at least thats what they want for the ES330). I put it under the dash.

The kit from lexus parts was roughly $285 shipped. The antenna from circuit city was about $40.

I called to activate, and they told me I qualified for 1 year of free service

Do you have any pics of the install? I'd like to add the Sirius kit to my 400h (self -install, if possible)

Not at the moment, I didn't take any. If you are willing to wait, I can take some pics probably this coming weekend.

IS this still and FM modulator version or does this connect in to the factory system digitally through some kind of adaptor with the factory deck?

No FM modulator. There is an ISO connector/harness that plugs directly into an open port on the back of the OEM radio

In what model did you install the Sirius? I have a 400h, and my dealer tells me it cannot be intergrated with the present stero system.

Can you post a link as to where you got this? I am very interested in installing this in our '06 RX330.

Thanks.

Also, do the songs show up on the factory deck or did you mount a control piece in the car? Can you possibly post some after pics?

One more thing I just noticed. We do not have Mark Levinson in our RX. Will this still work?

They show up on the factory deck - but are cut off after a certain number of characters. The only thing that physically looks different in the car is that it now has the sirius antenna. That is all - everything is factory looking and completely integrated with the radio.
