Lexus to recall 3,900 RX 330's in U.S. to replace seatbelt anchor

Torrance, California – Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. will launch a voluntary special service campaign with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) involving approximately 3,900 early-2004 model year Lexus RX 330 vehicles in the U.S.

In certain of these vehicles, there is a possibility that the anchor bolt for the rear, left-side passenger seatbelt does not have sufficient strength. Lexus has received one report of this condition. Lexus will mail notifications to owners, who can also call 1-800-255-3987. Dealers will replace the anchor bolt at no charge.

Default Lexus Announces Voluntary Repair Campaign for 2004 RX 330

TORRANCE, Calif. — Toyota says it will hold a voluntary service campaign to make a repair to its 2004 model Lexus RX 330 after a complaint the anchor bolt of the rear left-side passenger seatbelt buckle is not strong enough.

The company issued a statement saying it is working in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to notify owners of the model and offer a free repair.

What this means to you: Get in touch with your Lexus dealer if you own one of these.
