That engine cover looks better than what is on the RX330 IMHO. It alsmost makes you believe there is a big meaty engine under there How noticable is the power increase?

I would be more excited if Lexus replace those elephant-ear side mirrors with cameras and LCD displays. Before anyone say it is crazy, the LF-C have them and don't we have something similiar called backup camera already? In addition to have a more aero dynamic body, cameras reduce wind noise, improve mpg and accelaration, and a state-of-the-art look.

The more I look into RX350, the more I realize it is a market following model rather than a market leading SUV. I bought the RX300 because it was the only SUV that drive like a sedan rather than a truck in 99-00 time frame. Fast forward to 2006, GS350's 2GR-FSE (3.5 V6) has more torque and hp than the 4.3 V8 in GS430, that is exciting. Acura RL has a V6 3.5 engine already pump out 290hp with under new SAE rating, and we are excited about a 275hp engine borrowed from Camry V6? Even IS has the keyless ignition with push button, the "new" RX350 does not have it according to another post by koolaidman. I am not as hyped about RX350 as I was last year, this looks more like a 2 year filler model until the next generation RX comes along.

it didnt have nav. i know for a fact the ipod intergration only come with nav for the gen 5 nav systems

And then somebody writes they like the RX350 engine cover better than the RX330 one? That's pathetic. To even notice such a trivial thing, let alone care about it is sad.

Come on guys, why give this guy such a hard time? He's probably too excited about getting a chance to drive the car before it's for sale to the public. Calling him a liar is too much.

I don't know about you guys, but my first car is my family's minivan and I was definitely excited when I got the key from my parents. Sometimes it's not about how good the car is (or perceived to be), how many hp does it have, how much g can it pull while turning, but the experience, the expectation, and the feeling when you drive it, and it's different from person to person.

I think coolaidman is a Lexus tech, he posted his dealership is storing up transmissions to anticipate RX300 tranny failure in another thread.
Got to agree with nopcbs, can't really be excited about these touchy fashion makeovers. Show us real technological features, and we will be really excited.

directions to the auto show

i know i should of takin an over all picture. but take note to the date of when my first post is and when the auto show starts. and also take note that the major difference from what ive seen are

ppl has asked does it have push start. no it doesnt. and if u go to a local dealer. go up to a tech and ask him what years are indicated on the scanner. it shows 2007 and rx350 is listed.

engine cover on the gs's are different than the 1 on the rx 350. the gs oil filler neck is on the bottom right. look at the picture i posted. its on the middle left.
