Default add AWD badge to my 330; yay or nay?

i dont like how lexus does not distinguish between the AWD and FWD versions of the rx330 as they do with their other models

i was thinking of getting an AWD badge from a GS or new IS and putting it on the back of my AWD 06 RX330

or ?

Another way to further differentiate your 330 from the other vehicles is to put an "ABS" badge as from those GM vehicles sold in the early 90s.

Whatever floats your boat. That's your vehicle and you can do whatever you want to it.

I am planning on changing the Lexus badge back to Toyota.

Default Hmmm...

...I was surprised they don't differentiate between them with some sort of badge. I don't know that i would really care though. I wouldn't think it was stupid if you wanted to do that, but i dont think i would notice either! If you can do it cheap, go for it....if it will make you feel better. You should feel comfortable with your car and if that makes you happy, just do it...or dont

I think you are one of those Lexus owners who will get fed up if someone just call your Lexus an "overpriced Toyota".

The RX indeed is a Toyota Harrier in Japan, and I won't call it a "downbadge" by changing all badges to JDM spec. I am a happy owner of four "Toyotas", including the RX400h. I buy them for their reliabilities and user friendliness, not for prestige.

FYI, the Highlander is a Kluger in Japan.

i equate my lexus to being a toyota, the same way i do with my scion

i just am perplexed how all lexus vehicles with AWD have a badge except the RX

i guess ill just leave mine the way it is

and i was never offended when my scion was called an underpriced toyota

I have a 06 Lexus GX470 and my brother has a 06 Lexus LX470 and neither one has an AWD nameplate. But then again, these vehicles only come in AWD.

I'm not sure but it seems to me that Lexus was one of the early marques that did not advertise the content of the options list on the car. Remember the '70's and '80's when every car advertised its braking system, gearbox contents and fuel metering system - splayed out in large chrome letters across the trunklid lip? Maybe Lexus was going for a little "understated elegance" here . . .

I would probably do the opposite! I usually REMOVE all the badges. I think it looks cleaner without. My number 1 pet peeve is dealerships that slap their name (usually crooked) next to the cars badge. Luckily these days all badges are on with 2way tape. I remember when they drilled holes and had metal badges.

I don't need no stinkin' badges!
