Default help needed, strange sound

pls help
im experiencing strange sound from underneath of my harrier/rx330
the sound will only appear above 80km/h, the faster i go the more obvious the sound is
its getting very irritating on the expressway, n i have to crank up the music to cover the noise
it has this "thub thub" sound on the left hand side, im a RHD harrier

can anybody enlighten me on tis, and everytime i bring a mechanic to test out the vehicle, the sound doesnt appear, man my car is hating me

In machine that moves, there are too many sources of noise/sound.

Engine noise: See if you can corelate to rpm [not your speed]. Usually you dont have to drive.
Transmission: Combination of speed and rpm [you can some what eliminate by forcing into a gear, by gear selector ... stay within the allowable rpms]
Road noise: drive on a smooth road to eliminate.
Tire/contact noise: On smooth road it will be speed dependant. You can move tires aound and see if the source moves with it ... try the spare.
Suspension: Again find a smooth road. Also try to accellarate and brake to stress the suspension.
Exhaust: rpm based.

Hope you can isolate it.

The other option you have is to take it to a shop. [Hint if they are going to fix it, let them diagnose it too].

Default noise

wheel bearings? if you crank the wheel back and forth do you hear it on the right turn (weight on the front left)
some type of lose cover/plastic that needs some 80kph wind to makeit move?

thanx, will try those
it seems tat on smoother surface, the noise doesnt come out as often, but then less than 0.01% of roads in my country is smooth for me to try out
even on expressway(suppose to be smooth) it comes
will double check on rpm, the faster i go, the faster the beats become

Is it a metal clanging, plastic sound or neither?

We talked recently about the bushings on the suspension arm and some of the metal rods near the shock, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=202045

I would try raising the left front wheel of the ground, via jack, and then shaking it to see if the suspension arm bushing is loose. That has happened on both sides to me since I have lived in Mexico.

The wheel well covers could also becoming loose at time or the cover underneath. This brings up another point. It is possible that one might be slightly warped out of placed (even if the screws are tight). I am referring to the underneath area and some air could fly in there at certain speeds and start to wriggle the plastic piece causing that sound you are hearing.

could be as simple as a steel belt broken inside one your tires.you wont notice just by looking at it.you have to spin the wheel and see if it is out of shape.
