Default I'm not sure what the going price for these cars are but...

I just bought my parents a 2007 Breakwater Blue fully loaded RX350 (minus NAV, rear seat) for $39k

Loving the car but now need to find some nice chrome sidesteps....?

Default Is $43,000 a good price to pay?

I am looking to purchase a fully loaded FWD not AWD RX350. Nav, Mark Levinson, Chrome 18", DVD Rear Seat Player, Premium Plus Package, all known options.

Is $43,000 a good price to pay?

This afternoon, I helped a friend pick up an AWD RX350 w/NAV, Premium Plus, Heated Seats, 18-inch wheels & a few other minor options at Wayzata Lexus in Minnesota. There was no trade-in.

The MSRP was 46,583 including dest.
It took some negotiating but we got the price down to 42,500 plus tax, title, etc.

I also picked up an MSRP $46,583 today. Got it for $41,762 (invoice +$500).

I just did a 36 month, 15K/year lease in Massachusetts. Here's what I've got:

2007 RX350 AWD (Flint Mica/Black)
PT Premium Plus
NV Navigation System
HH Heated Front Seats with Rain Sensing Wipers
FT 18" Alumnium Alloy Wheels
TO Towing Prep Package
Cargo Mats
Wheel Locks
Lexus XM installed

MSRP $46583
Paid $41700
Add $600 for XM

Money factor of 0.00145 for Tier 1+ (+0.0001 for Tier 1) and residual of 57% are good until June 30, 2006. With nine multiple security deposits, I was able to lower that MF down to 0.00055 with 4500 refundable dollars. This is interesting because putting that much money down as a capitalized cost reduction (down payment) will approximately have the same effect in monthly payment reduction. And you don't get the money back at lease end. All in all, I saved about $2,300 by putting down $4,500 as MSD, so this worked out quite well in my favor. At lease end, I plan on coming up with the residual money entirely to buy out the car, but this is one of the rare occasions where leasing is cheaper than buying interest rate-wise.

Neverest,

Did they add on documentation, tag, and vehicle prep fees to that $41,700 or was that icluded?

Thanks,

Default Ordered 350RX . . .

Ordered 350RX (IRA), Performance Package, Nav, HTD seats, misc options. (no ML), Autobahnd (clear bra) etc . . . . $44K. This was the best buying experience. Vehicle ordered in April and arrived by end of May. We were told this RX was unobtainium in the N.E.. No problem for us. Car arrived exactly as ordered. The adjustable suspension is very good. This vehicle moves too. Overall, I'm very impressed. We just had a new arrival on Saturday. A healthy 9lb boy. Hence the RX purchase. Have not had time to post pics(of the RX, its low on the priority list).

The RX is for my wife(no, its not a gender thing. We both love the RX). I have been loving the driving experience. The 350 really moves out well. The air suspension set to low handles the twisties extremely well. I'm impressed. All of this with the stock setup. This is one outstanding vehicle. I just wish we had discovered it sooner.

Did we get the best price? No. Did we get outstanding service and support. YES! The vehicle had 8 (eight) miles on it when it was delivered. In addition, they threw in a few extra's here and there. Nice touch and my wife may be a Lexus convert now. We were former bmw/Audi owners (we live in Boston) and loved Audi cars especially. Lexus has taken it to a new level. The RX350 is outstanding. Is it perfect? No. It is however the perfect balance of luxury, performance, power, and reliability.

Yes. Doc fees of $195, tag in MA is $86, along with $600 bank fee which included gap insurance on the lease as well.

Hello Neverest,

By my calculations from KBB, it appears you got this RX below cost. Can you please break down the invoice you have from KBB?

Thanks

I did not get the vehicle below cost based on the KBB invoice. The invoice of my vehicle, described below, is $40,770.00 according to KBB:

RX350 AWD with following options:
PT Premium Plus Pkg
TO Towing Prep Pkg
C1 Cargo Mat (PIO)
NV Navigation System, DVD-Based Voice Activated
HS Seats, Heated Front
WL Wheel Locks (PIO)

MSRP is $46,583.00, Edmunds TMV (which seems VERY off) for MA is $46,440.

Based on Edmunds forums and other assorted data I gathered, people were picking up this same car for as low as $41,200 out on the west coast, but most are going between $41,500 to $42,500 out in the northeast. $41,700 isn't an exceptional deal, and people can certainly do better, but I wasn't willing to drive down to NJ to do a deal to save a couple hundred bucks.

What made me jump on the deal was how aggressive the lease money factor and residual is right now. A comparable deal on the MDX would have a lower MF, but also a much lower residual (51% vs 57%). Overall I think I did well enough.

Hi Andy,

I'm not quite sure if this forum's rules will let me specify the specific salesperson's name, but my car was purchased from IRA in Danvers. I personally think that if you can drive a hard bargain, you can probably get it down to $41.5K for the same car. I was personally tired of fretting over $200 and playing seesaw with my salesperson (who was nice, but frustrating to deal with sometimes because he's very methodical - read: slow - about his ways). I believe the stock on these cars is running pretty high, so you should be able to negotiate a good deal - especially on a lease, where both the res. and MF are aggressive.

edit: I'm in Medford, and work in Lowell.

Hi, I purchased my RX 350 about 2 weeks ago in CT for a fully loaded AWD w/nav MSRP of $46583 with a trade-in.

I was quoted from rayena lexus in NY (biggest dealer in NE) for $41242 fully loaded and i dealer in CT willing to match it til $41400. Which i agreed, as it only difference of $158 (save me gas and time).

But the sales person as soon as he found out i havea trade-in, he tried to rid me off on my trade-in. which i end up traded in for $1000 less then what edmunds said.

overall, I loved the car and has no regret except for one thing.

IT LOOKS THE SAME AS A RX330!!!

why is the rx 350 the only one with the same old style? I almost want to get the ES350, but i test drove it and it sucks compare to the RX 350.
